"It'll Blow Your F**king Mind Away": A Way Out Creator Josef Fares announces It Takes Two

It Takes Two is a brand new game from Joseph “F*** the Oscars!” Fares and the team at Hazelight. An EA Originals title, it was announced alongside Lost in Random and a new trailer for Rocket Arena during EA Play Live on Thursday.

A co-op action adventure platformer that Fares says will “blow your f***ing mind away” — language that doesn’t quite fit the game’s colourful animated aesthetic — the game is set amongst family turmoil and involves a pair of wood and clay dolls that will play with the concept of emotions. The video — whilst very slickly put together — doesn’t show us a whole lot of the game, aside from a few environments and what looks to be concept art. It’s safe to say that we shouldn’t expect this game any time soon but if, like me, you enjoyed A Way Out or Brothers: A Tale Of Two Sons — two other Hazelight games directed by Fares — then you know this could work well despite sounding quite high concept.

It Takes Two is due out in 2021. No platforms have currently been announced.
